Tokyo (INP): Police in Japan have arrested a 75-year-old woman who reportedly admitted to keeping her daughter’s body in a deep freezer for more than two decades.
According to international media reports, authorities discovered the remains of an adult woman inside the freezer at the home of Keiko Mori in Ibaraki, northeast of Tokyo. Police officials said Mori identified the body as that of her daughter, Makiko, who was born in 1975. If she were alive today, she would be around 49 or 50 years old.
Investigators added that the body was already in a state of decomposition. A post-mortem examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
