During the show "The Talk Show" hosted by Kyle Ripa and Ryan Crist, an attempt was made to set a new record of putting on the most number of sweaters in 30 seconds (one person putting on sweaters and the other helping). However, they failed to beat the previous record of putting on 8 sweaters.
After the end of that segment of the program, Produser Jane Shell and Jim Nelber decided to make an effort to set the record.
